Two ways to move your stuff

Swap it. Or waffle it.

Swap or Sell is for deals you make one to one. Wafflr is for when lots of people want the same thing.

🔁

Swap or Sell

List what you have and what you’d take for it. Members make offers of a trade, cash or both, and you accept or decline.

🎟️

Wafflr

Raffle an item off. Members claim numbered spots, you confirm who has paid, and you draw a random winner with a record anyone can check.

The stuff-in-the-garage problem

Too good to bin. Too small to sell.

Your spare things are worth something to somebody. Getting them there is the hard part.

The pile that never moves

Things worth keeping out of the bin, but not worth the hassle of a full-blown marketplace listing.

Endless haggling

Chat threads that go nowhere and lowball offers. A listing that says what you’d take for it saves everyone time.

One item, many people

When lots of people want the same thing, someone loses. A raffle gives everyone a fair shot.

Most marketplaces only speak one language: cash. And comment-section giveaways get messy fast.

What we left out

  • Anonymous listings from accounts nobody can vouch for
  • Bots flooding your inbox with “is this still available?”
  • Cash-only thinking when a swap would suit you both
  • An engagement algorithm deciding which listings you see

What’s left: members, their stuff, and what they’d take for it.

No one knows the numbers

How many spots? What does one cost? When does it close? Half the questions in the thread are the same three.

“Was it rigged?”

A name gets picked off-camera and the doubts start. Hard to show a fair draw.

Strangers and bots

Open giveaways attract accounts that were never going to show up to collect.

Swap or Sell · listings

List it. Say what you’d take. Make a deal.

Every listing says what the owner has and what they’d take for it. Other members make offers, and the owner decides.

Swap skills and services

Trade a bike tune-up for a haircut, or a logo for a lesson. Not everything worth trading sits in a garage.

You handle the money

Payment happens off the platform. You mark each entry Confirmed once you’ve been paid, and only confirmed entries can win.

Better together

One shop. Two ways to sell.

Swap and raffle in the same place, with the same members, in one spot in your menu.

🏠

One home for your stuff

Swap or Sell and Wafflr sit side by side, so there’s one place to list, offer and win.

📣

Share to your feed

Post a listing or a waffle to your feed so your friends see it first.

🧩

Right on your dashboard

Add the Swap or Sell and Wafflr widgets to see the newest listings, and the open raffles with how full each one is, right on your dashboard.

🪪

Members only

Only signed-in members can list, make offers or claim spots, so you’re dealing with real accounts.

That keeps it free of anonymous listings and bots, so everyone you deal with is a member who chose to be there.

The ground rules. Please read these.

Wafflr gives you the tools. Running your waffle lawfully is on you.

⚖️

Raffles, lotteries and prize draws are regulated in many places. Some require a permit or licence, some restrict or ban paid entries, and some require a free way to enter. Find out what applies before you start.

miSocial isn’t a party

Waffles are run by their organisers. miSocial doesn’t guarantee items, prizes, handovers or outcomes, and makes no claim that any waffle is lawful where it runs.

Built on miSocial

Your stuff is your business.

Swap n Shop lives on miSocial, the social network you actually control. Ads are kept minimal, never intrusive, and what you list never becomes a profile for sale.

Your data isn’t soldNo tracking you across other websites, no collecting data we don’t need.
No engagement algorithmChronological or interest-based feeds you choose, never reshuffled to keep you hooked.
No AI-generated contentReal people and real posts on miSocial. Ever.
No viewpoint censorshipA public content policy applied the same to everyone. Illegal content and Terms violations can be removed, with appeals.

No intrusive ads. miSocial keeps ads minimal and favours memberships, donations and partnerships.

Trade smart

Before you swap

Common sense, written down. These three habits keep trades friendly.

📍

Meet in public

A busy café, a library lobby, a well-lit car park. Daytime is best. Bring a friend if you like.

🔍

Inspect first

Look it over, switch it on, try it out. Hand over your trade or cash only when you’re happy.

Report anything off

Pressure to pay upfront, odd links, deals too good to be true? Walk away and report it under miSocial’s public content policy.

Questions

Before you list something

What is Swap n Shop?

Swap n Shop is where members give their stuff a new home. Swap or Sell is a swap shop for listing items or services you would trade, sell or find, and Wafflr lets you raffle something off.

What is Swap or Sell?

A members-only swap shop for listing items or services you'd like to trade, sell or find, and making offers on other members' listings.

What is Wafflr?

A self-managed raffle app - offer an item, let people claim spots, and draw a random winner once you're ready.

Is Swap n Shop free?

Yes. Any signed-in member can list, make offers and run raffles.

What can I list in Swap or Sell?

Items or services you want to sell or trade, or a wanted ad for something you’re looking for. Say what you’d take in trade, add a price and a photo, and members can make you offers.

Who is responsible for a trade?

Trades are agreements between members. Meet somewhere public, inspect before you hand anything over, and never send money for something you haven’t seen.

How do I stay safe?

Meet in a public place, inspect the item before you hand anything over, and never send money for something you haven’t seen. If a listing or message feels wrong, report it under miSocial’s public content policy.

What can’t I list in Swap or Sell?

Anything illegal, unsafe or stolen, plus anything else the miSocial Terms rule out.

How do payment and pickup work in Swap or Sell?

You and the other member agree on it together, usually an in-person swap. Swap or Sell is where you find each other and agree the deal. It doesn’t handle payments or delivery.

How does payment work in Wafflr?

Wafflr doesn’t process any payment. You arrange that with entrants yourself, then mark their entry Confirmed once you’ve been paid. Only confirmed entries are eligible to win. Any arrangement around spots is between you and the entrants, must follow local law, and miSocial isn’t a party to it.

How is the Wafflr winner chosen?

You draw it yourself whenever you’re ready, once every spot is claimed and every entry is confirmed. Each confirmed spot is one ticket, and Wafflr records a verification hash so the draw can be checked after the fact.

Do I need to check any rules before running a raffle?

Yes. Prize-draw rules differ from place to place, so check your local rules before you run one. Many places regulate raffles, lotteries and prize draws: some require a permit or licence, some restrict or ban paid entries, and some require a free-entry option. As the organiser, you’re responsible for checking and following the rules that apply. If you’re unsure, ask your local authority before you start.

What can I offer in a Wafflr?

Only items you own and are allowed to give away. Nothing illegal, unsafe, stolen, recalled or restricted, and nothing the miSocial Terms rule out.

Who handles the handover in a Wafflr?

The organiser and the winner arrange it directly, whether that’s a meet-up or shipping. Say how it’ll work in your description before spots open.

Is miSocial responsible for my waffle?

No. Waffles are run by their organisers. miSocial isn’t a party to any waffle and doesn’t guarantee items, prizes or outcomes.

Will what I list be used to target me with ads?

No. Your data isn’t sold, and miSocial doesn’t track you across other websites. Ads are kept minimal, never intrusive, and miSocial favours memberships, donations and partnerships.
